I found this sweet photo of the Duke from True Grit and I wanted to mess with it a little so I painted it in photoshop and this is what it came out looking like







I made a couple time lapse over the past year and forgot all about them till now, The first one is when Mindy and I tore out the bathroom to extend the kitchen at her folks place. Next is my back yard in Moroni. Third was replacing the down bar last snow season, and lastly was shaving the beard.



This is one of the few photo's my parents have of them besides of their wedding picture that I have ever seen. Mom asked if there was a way to make it look better and have a print that was bigger then a 3 by 3 haha they kill me at times



I know the fall is over but these are the photo's I got for this years fall





I try to take these little guys photo every couple of months cause they grow up so fast. Here is little Finn and his little brother McCord

Fighting For A Cause

His name is Mikey Murhead aka the meerkat manner you may have crossed paths with him if you ever needed any graphic design, custom tailoring or maybe passed him on his road bike peddling around Provo. He is one well rounded guy and funny then hell. I've learned a lot from the meerkat in the years I've known him and his CAUSE that keeps him grounded. Skateboarding, a couple plies of maple wood with 4 wheels under his feet which keep him balanced, with the many activities He's involved in. We all need to have our own cause to keep us grounded whether its chasing bigfoot in the woods or kick flip indy's on the mini mega ramp we all need to fight for something.

In my experience if you want to know about a town, or the people, you need to find someone who has the info. And who better then the local Barber of 45 years. His name is Dick Nicol, the Scottish boy in Heber. Guys like Dick have been around and have met a wide variety of folks who stop by his shop for a cut. Only 8 bucks for a new look, but only men's hair. He will not cut women's hair. "Can't. Don't ask me." Also, you can’t call ahead and set up an appointment cause there isn’t a phone "Can't cut and talk at the same time.”
"I like arguing with customers, and they like arguing with me," he said. "I've always been an outlaw." Dick is one enjoyable person to be around and I didn’t realize just how long I had been there talking to him. The hours felt like minutes. If your in need of a good story and a little off the top, stop by Dick’s Barber Shop and don’t forget “Cash Only”.

Mindy got me a gun a few months ago, and we have been shooting the shit out of things. Pretty fun

9/11 Ten Years Later

Over the past few weeks I've been asking friends and family where they were on 9/11 for this project. I found that everybody I talked to remembered exactly where they were and what they were doing. The three portraits below reflect three of these people's stories.



Daniel Green-
I was feeding my son oatmeal when I turned on the TV and saw the first tower burning. I honestly thought it was a movie trailer at first. 9/11 affected me not only as an American, but as a member of the National Guard. I was shipped out for 18 months, I was mad, I couldn't believe the sucker punch we took that day. As I watched the towers come down I knew our lives were changed.



Joyce Finlinson-
I was sitting at my desk in my classroom when a colleague came running in and told me to turn on the TV. The rest of the morning was spent watching the news reports and trying to explain to my 4th grade class what had happened and why someone would do such a thing. It was tough morning for all of us.



Elliot Wilde-
I was 19 and working for Provo City at South Fork Park. I was sitting in my truck when I heard on the radio what had happened. At that time, I didn't fully understand the magnitude that this event would have on the world. I later enrolled in the fire academy and realized that 9/11 impacted so many aspects of our lives, especially the fire service.
